Overview

If your company uses Cargo Master to coordinate shipments from your vendors you can integrate Komet with Cargo Master in order to automatically make the reservations on the cargo agent system once a PO is sent to the vendors.

Getting Cargo Master Integrated with Komet:

In order to get Cargo Master integrated with Komet Sales, the administrator user will need to contact Cargo Master Support to request a username and password.

Cargo Master will need the following details to process this request: The name of the company making the request, the importers it works with, the vendors and the functionalities that the company needs. For example, Generate Labels, send PO'S, etc.

Cargo Master will send the username, password and importer code.

Once logged in, Go to Setup > Settings > Integrations > Cargo Master Settings.

A new window will be displayed where the user can enter the login details provided by Cargo Master and select whether PO's should be sent manually or automatically to Cargo Master.

 Click on Save.

The user's company is now linked with Cargo Master.

A Cargo Master code is needed for each vendor. This field will appear once the integration settings are set up. Each of these codes will be provided by Cargo Master.

Adding Cargo Master Codes for Vendors:

Once Cargo Master has been integrated with Komet each vendor that ships with Cargo Master will need the corresponding Cargo Master code setup in Komet.  In order to do this follow the instructions below:

Go To Setup > Vendors, select the vendor you wish to add the code to and click on edit from the Actions column.

The vendor Information window will be displayed.

Enter the vendor's code provided by Cargo Master in the field provided and click on save.

Create AWBs for the Future Through Cargo Master

Komet Sales is integrated with Cargo Master, so the information of AWBs and House AWBs is automatically transferred into Komet Sales via API and associated to specific vendors and locations. Vendors will just have to select the AWB and the house AWB from a list when Creating a new AWB Shipment.

Considerations

  • The House AWB will be associated to a particular vendor, company and location (if applies).
  • Some of your vendors may be integrated with Cargo Master. If this is the case, the AWB cannot be manually entered and the house will be mandatory.
  • If you, as a company are integrated with Cargo Master,  your vendors will not be able to enter manually the AWBs and the House AWBs will be required.
  • Once a AWB is associated to a House AWB, users will not be able to modify them.

How to know if the Integration with Cargo Master is Activated

Once the integration is activated, the field Cargo Master Code will appear on the Vendor setup screen.
