Overview

Komet allows Sales and Administrator users to build boxes from inventory units in the Order Entry screen.

By default, this setting is not enabled.

Instructions

To enable this setting, please follow the next steps

Go to Setup > Settings.

In Order Entry section, click on Sell by Units option.

Check the Allow building boxes from units: checkbox and enter a valid vendor name. If you leave this field blank, the system will take the vendor from the first item added to the new box.

All Units that are selected in the Build Boxes window, will be assigned to the vendor that was set up in Step 3. Leaving this field blank, the system will take the vendor from the first item added to the box and will be associated to the box that is being built.

Save the changes and create a new order in Order Entry >> Add Order.

Open the Inventory window and click on Units tab.

Click on Build Boxes link and the available units are displayed.

Enter the required fields. For adding a product line to the box, enter the number of units, the price, and hit the enter key. The added item should be displayed on the right side of the screen in a new column called Items on Box.

Once you click on the Finish box button, the system will ask you to enter the order information. Click on Save to finish.
